Tesla Sentry Mode

Tesla Sentry Mode alerts – instantly on your phone.

SentryBeam delivers real-time push notifications when your Tesla's Sentry Mode detects activity – within seconds. The Tesla app doesn't offer this. Free forever, no subscription.
The problem

Tesla doesn't notify you when Sentry Mode triggers

Your Tesla records everything – but you only find out after the fact. The native Tesla app has no push notifications for Sentry Mode events. By the time you check your dashcam footage, the damage is done and the person is gone.

No push notifications in the Tesla app for Sentry events

You only discover incidents when you return to your car

Dashcam footage is useless if you see it hours later

Third-party apps charge $10+/month for basic alerts

Features

Everything you need to protect your Tesla

SentryBeam uses Tesla Fleet Telemetry to stream Sentry Mode events directly from your vehicle – no polling, no delay.
  • Alerts in under 10 seconds
Powered by Tesla Fleet Telemetry, SentryBeam streams Sentry Mode events directly from your vehicle. You'll know about suspicious activity within seconds – the Tesla app doesn't send Sentry Mode notifications at all.
  • Aware & Panic detection
SentryBeam distinguishes between "aware" events (someone approaching) and "panic" events (alarm triggered). You always know exactly what's happening.
  • Live event feed
See all Sentry Mode events in real time on your dashboard – armed, aware, panic, and off. Full event history with timestamps for every vehicle.
  • Works on every device
Install SentryBeam as a Progressive Web App on iPhone, Android, Mac, or Windows. No app store needed, no reviews, no updates to manage – always the latest version.
  • Your data stays yours
All tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest. We never store your Tesla password. No tracking, no analytics, no data selling. Open and transparent.
  • Free to use
No subscriptions, no hidden costs. SentryBeam is built by a Tesla owner for Tesla owners.
Install

Install on your phone for the best experience

SentryBeam works best as an installed app on your phone. Push notifications only work reliably when the app is installed on the home screen.

Android

  1. 1Open sentrybeam.app in Chrome
  2. 2Tap the "Install app" banner or menu → "Install app"
  3. 3Done – SentryBeam appears as an app on your home screen

iPhone / iPad

  1. 1Open sentrybeam.app in Safari (not Chrome!)
  2. 2Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
  3. 3Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. 4Tap "Add" – SentryBeam appears as an app
Important: On iOS, push notifications only work when the app is installed via Safari's "Add to Home Screen". Chrome on iOS does not support push notifications for PWAs.
Security

Built on Tesla's official APIs

SentryBeam uses the Tesla Fleet API and Fleet Telemetry – the same official infrastructure Tesla provides for third-party developers. Your OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and we never have access to your Tesla password. All communication is encrypted end-to-end.
